Before you report

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
If you use FarAway, you can also report someone from your chat with them, which sends us the conversation too.
To report something that breaks our community guidelines but is not illegal, report it in the app.

Both are needed, so we can tell you what we decide, except for reports of child sexual abuse, which you can make without them.

What happens next

We email you to confirm your report arrived. A person reviews every report; none is decided by software alone. When the content is illegal or breaks our terms, we remove it, and may suspend the account that posted it. We then email you what we decided and why, and tell the person who posted it, unless that would put someone at risk. Copyright reports follow the steps in our terms.
